Assuming people who disagree with you are “bad actors” who must have “evil intentions” is at the heart of the problem.

Alternative: these people simply disagree on the weightings of various tradeoffs and priorities. They care about Bitcoin, and they are fighting to push Bitcoin forward in the way they think is right. Which is what we’re all doing.

Assuming bad intentions leads to absurd claims, such as stated above, that “the Chinese government wants to control Bitcoin, thus it is funding/supporting Bitmain who is advocating larger blocks, because larger blocks may cause some decrease in node count.” That is the same kind of stupid conspiracy nonsense which some big blockers levy against Blockstream, in the other direction.
